“The Way” – ultimate membership is the best all-in-one option for those who prefer to just pay once per year and know everything’s covered: insurance, every week’s main session and gradings are all included for a year.

British Combat Association Membership and Insurance
Your first two sessions are introductory sessions, after which you will need insurance and membership with the British Combat Association in order to continue. This costs just £30 per year, and includes the following.
Please note that this fee is included in Ultimate tier membership.
- Insurance to cover you for training with other students in not just any of our sessions but any other British Combat Association instructor, club or class as well (depending on their terms and conditions). There are a great many of us across the country, details of which can be found here.
- Membership with the British Combat Association, which gives you eligibility to undertake our certified gradings.
- Membership with The Evolutionary Concept, which covers you for Evolutionary Self-Protection training as well as individually tailored advice for holistic health and wellbeing through Evolutionary Health, covering nutrition, movement (including strength and conditioning), sleep and relaxation (including mindfulness, breathwork and meditation) among other key conceptual areas.
- Individually tailored training advice for your own training outside our sessions with prioritised access to instructors for any relevant questions and discussion you might have.
- When you undertake a grading, you get detailed post-grading debriefings with training targets for your continued progress as well as your sash and certificate.

Grading Fees
Our syllabus has ten gradings:
📜 Beginner gradings are Red Sash, Orange Sash and Yellow Sash. These cost £30 each.
📜 Intermediate gradings are Green Sash, Blue Sash and Purple Sash. These cost £40 each.
📜 Advanced gradings are Brown Sash (First Degree), Brown Sash (Second Degree) and Brown Sash (Third Degree). These cost £50 each.
📜 Black Sash gradings cost £100.
Please note that all of these fees are included in Ultimate tier membership.
Where the Premium and Ultimate tiers say that regular weekly sessions are included, this means that each week’s main advertised session (typically Wednesdays, 18:00-19:30) is paid for. In the rare cases that the session is is moved to a different day or time, it is of course still covered. Sometimes, we also offer additional sessions on an ad hoc basis, which are not factored into these prices as they are run as private bookings. Similarly, 1:1 or small group private sessions are not included and must be booked separately.
Ultimate membership covers members for one year, being 12 full calendar months, including the calendar month in which the payment is made.
